Jessica Z's testimonial:
I found For the Girls, By the Girls of Iowa completely by accident. I was simply scrolling through TikTok when Dayna popped up on my For You Page, and within seconds, I was hooked. Little did I know how much this group would come to mean to me.
This past year, I started living by a new mantra: “I deserve something wonderful to happen to me today.” What started as a simple phrase became a shift in how I approached life. I began intentionally looking for the good in each day, and I quickly realized something even more powerful: If I wanted to receive positivity, I needed to put positivity into the world, too.
I spent the year rebuilding friendships, volunteering for causes close to my heart, stepping outside my comfort zone, and taking chances to grow in my career. Through it all, I kept one goal in mind: What if something I do today becomes someone else’s wonderful thing?
That’s ultimately what led me to join For the Girls, By the Girls. For as little as $4 a month, I knew I could be part of something bigger than myself. I could help lift up other women, spread kindness, and maybe be a small part of someone’s blessing.
What I never imagined was that I would be selected as a Woman of the Week (WoW), especially just two weeks after joining!
I truly believe the universe has a way of sending us blessings when we least expect them, but sometimes when we need them most. Not long before being selected, my husband and I woke up to a flooded basement and unexpected damage we hadn’t planned or budgeted for. It was overwhelming, and this blessing came at a time when it meant more than I could ever express.
But here’s what I love most about this group: It’s about so much more than money.
Every single one of us has struggles, unexpected expenses, and moments when a little extra help could make all the difference. But through one woman’s simple idea, Dayna has created something truly special. She’s brought together a community of local women who are not only helping each other financially but also building genuine friendships, cheering each other on, and becoming a support system for one another.
And that is something money simply cannot buy.
To Dayna and every woman who makes this group possible, thank you. Thank you for reminding us that kindness matters, that women supporting women is powerful, and that sometimes the smallest acts of generosity can create the biggest ripples.
To all the future WoWs, I am already cheering you on! I cannot wait to show up for you the same way this incredible community showed up for me.
Because sometimes the wonderful thing that happens to you today is the kindness someone else chose to put into the world. And tomorrow, you might get to be that wonderful thing for someone else.
